  1. Now there's some interesting information I had not known. Yes, we used to make (American) ice cream when I was child growing up in Maine, but we had one "ingredient" that others elsewhere probably did not have. We used to chill it for the final 2-3 hours in a snow bank! It came out the perfect consistency that way. A freezer would not have had the same effect.

    So glad you stopped by. Thank you for visiting our new blog and commenting. Maine? I just made a new friend from Maine about three weeks ago! And I've always wanted to visit there...maybe someday. I used to make "snow ice cream" when I was a little girl, consisting of snow, eggs, vanilla and sugar. It was fun. Fond memories, that.
